Restaurant: Quickly prepared delicious food, kind personnel, cosy atmosphere, clean toilets (downstairs).
I definitely recommend this restaurant after having a nice trail. The food is delicious and the waitress are super friendly.
Good, traditional kitchen and hotel looks inviting too
Very good cake and nice location
Very nice hotel. Real Lodge feeling.
The location is great. I can't say anything about the hotel. The restaurant is unfortunately not recommended due to the unfriendliness of the staff. We were there today and wanted to sit on the terrace. This was normally attended. The waiter inside said we could put a table together so we could sit together. We did this too. Another service force outside then said it wasn't possible because they needed the passage. OK. It might not have been wide enough, but that could have been said politely. There was no reason to treat us unkindly. In addition, one should then agree internally whether this is possible or not. When we noticed how rudely other guests at the next table were treated, we left.
Addendum on 09/08/23:
I was cheeky? I was the only one who didn't say anything in the situation. Had I done so, to say that I was naughty would certainly have been an understatement. You have to practice your ability to criticize. It was a narrative of events. Not more.
In the summer we had a short visit - to refresh ourselves and have coffee and cake... but we left the latter behind. There was just too much hype.
In short - even when quenching your thirst you felt a little like you were in an anthill or a crowded outdoor pool. Quite unpleasant, especially after the peace and quiet of the heath.
It's a shame, because with a little more space the whole thing could be a really great chilled out place.
We went for a nice walk in the Pietzmoor and wanted to have coffee and cake there and end the beautiful day there. Does it taste good? No idea. The waiter was extremely unfriendly because we asked whether we should order at the cake counter or at the table. He left us stupid. You can explain the procedure there in a friendly manner to the guest. It couldn't have been because he was overwhelmed because there wasn't a single guest in the café. Now i know why. We left because I can spend my money elsewhere.
